Ingredients
1 (3-4 pounds) beef chuck roast
1 packet ranch dressing mix
1 packet au jus gravy mix
1/2 cup unsalted butter
4-5 pepperoncini peppers (plus a splash of juice)
Optional: 1/4 cup water or beef broth
Cooking Instructions
Prep the Roast: Place the chuck roast in a slow cooker.
Add Seasonings: Sprinkle the ranch dressing mix and the au jus gravy mix over the roast.
Butter & Peppers: Add the unsalted butter on top of the roast. Scatter the pepperoncini peppers around the roast and add a splash of juice from the pepper jar.
Cook Low & Slow: Cover and cook on low heat for 8 hours, or until the meat is tender and falling apart. If you prefer a bit more liquid, you can add 1/4 cup of water or beef broth at the beginning.
